Hallucinogenic Drugs Can Be Very Dangerous

There are always new and existing drugs that tempt teenagers and adults alike into escaping from the reality of the world. Unfortunately, some of these drugs can be incredibly dangerous. Often, people do not realize the dangers until something bad happens to them or someone that they know. Drug education has increased in schools but, it is often dry and clinical information that is presented. Many students may even ignore it, considering the staff to be too old to understand how to have fun.

Some people enjoy drugs that cause hallucinations. One of the most frequently used in modern history is LSD. It became popular in the 1960s and is still around today. Sometimes it is referred to as acid or blotter acid. When people use it, after a short period of time, they will begin to see and hear things that are not there. While sometimes the person has a pleasant experience, this is not always the case. If the dose is strong or something unpleasant occurs, the person will end up having what is called a bad trip. The person may see demons or other horrific things. Unfortunately, it is difficult to reason with someone who is hallucinating.

If you know someone who is considering using LSD, you should give them some information on bad trips. People will sometimes harm themselves or others when they experience these hallucinations. Sometimes, they even die because they are not in touch with the reality of their situation.

It is worth becoming educated about hallucinogenics so that you can avoid the temptation to try acid. Though you may have people trying to persuade you because they have never had a bad trip, do not be fooled. This stuff can cause serious damage to you and others if you take it.
